Ardnamurchan Madeira Cask Release (52%, OB 2024)
Bourbon casks from 2018 were filled with a roughly 60/40 ratio of unpeated to peated spirit, then re-racked into Madeira casks for two years.
Nose: Cocoa powder, stewed plums, sugared almonds, bread and
butter pudding, nutmeg, sandalwood, bracken, fruit scone, red
currants.
Palate: Cinnamon sweets, cedar bark, salted trail mix with
chocolate chips, rosemary stalks, toffee apple, pine needles,
strawberries with black pepper.
Finish: Medium weight, dusty, long and slightly drying finish.
